Air Navigation

Air navigation, including the use of aeronautical charts, instruments and navigation aids; an understanding of the principles and characteristics of appropriate navigation systems; operation of airborne equipment; practical aspects of air navigation and dead reckoning techniques.

 

Practical air navigation using radio navigation aids.

 

Use, accuracy and reliability of navigation systems used in departure en-route, approach and landing phases of flight; identification of radio navigation aids and more.

Meteorology

An Interpretation and application of aeronautical meteorological reports, charts and forecasts, use of, and procedures for obtaining, meteorological information, pre-flight and in-flight; altimetry.

 

Aeronautical meteorology; climatology of relevant areas in respect of the elements having an effect upon aviation; the movement of pressure systems, the structure of fronts and the origin and characteristics of significant weather phenomenon which affect take-off, en-route and landing conditions; hazardous weather avoidance and more

Radio Telephony Restricted RTR (A)

  • Part I – Transmission

  • Part II – Theory

  • RTR (A) Exam is conducted by WPC in every 2 months.

  • Professional Training includes -75 hrs of Instruction.

DGCA REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE (CPL).

  • For Commercial Pilot Licence course, the candidate should have completed 18 years of age at the time of presenting application to the DGCA for the issue of C. P. L.

  • Educational Qualification - 10+2 or its equivalent examinations passed with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Board / University.

  • Class I Medical .

  • Written examinations passed in Air Regulations, Air Navigation, Aviation Meteorology, Technical General, Aircraft and Engine Specific.

  • Flying experience of minimum 200 hours in the last five years preceding the date of application.

  • Flying Training in accordance with syllabus prescribed by DGCA.

  • Possession of current Flight Radio Telephony Operator’s License (FRTOL).

  • RTR(A) licence from telecom department, Ministry of Communication.

  •  Pass in Flying Skill Tests.

DGCA REQUIREMENTS PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE (PPL)

  • Educational Qualification - Xth class passed.

  • Age - 17 years.

  • Medical Std. - Class II Medical Fitness.

  • The minimum 40 hours of flying training in the last five years preceding the date of application.

 

 

Course duration may vary depending on the progress of the students, their ability and aptitude in clearing DGCA exams.

 

The institution shall not be responsible in any way for any obstacle / hindrance in the conducting of the course / flying training arising out of any unexpected event which is beyond the control of the academy.
